
MYTHS ABOUT VAPING
There are many myths surrounding vaping. Youths and teenagers are easily misled by such myths and hence are more susceptible. Let's dispel these myths, read about the truth and understand the real dangers of vaping.

Safer than smoking cigarettes: Vaping or smoking e-cigarettes is not safer than cigarettes because they can produce formaldehyde and contain other chemicals that could harm your organs and body. In other instances, Vaping is not safe as there were reported cases where Vaping devices exploding and causing serious injuries.
Not addictive: Apart from harmful chemicals and substances, Vapes contains nicotine just like in cigarettes and will get you hooked and addicted to Vaping.
A good way to quit smoking: Vaping is not a proven method to quit smoking and should not be relied on. Having similar characteristics such as emitting smoke from the device only serves to bring closer the association to cigarette smoking.
Not harmful to bystanders: Secondhand smoke from Vaping (e-cigarettes) can contain nicotine and other harmful chemicals, which can be harmful to others who are exposed to it.
All e-cigarettes are the same: There are many different types of e-cigarettes, each with different chemicals and substances such as flavorings which are commonly referred to as "Juices". More damaging to health and society are those that contain banned drugs like cannabis which might also put users in trouble with the law.

Vaping is cool: Vaping is not cool and here's why. Firstly, you are inhaling toxic substances into your lungs and destroying your body. Secondly, you are also destroying your character as Vaping causes drastic change in temperament usually seen in form of restlessness and showing bad temper. Thirdly, you are throwing away your wealth buying such products, deteriorating your health and making those profiteering from selling such harmful product richer by the day, at your full expense. Last but not least, having seen with smoke emitting from your mouth and nose doesn't paint a cool image for yourself or other people associated with you as most people will agree that putting your health at risk, when you have a choice to not do so, is totally not the coolest thing one should do.
Be a leader, not a follower. Don't believe in all those Vaping Myths. Stand firm for what you believe in and exercise your will-power to make your own decisions.
